so, Manet started it all. No more those Romanticizing crap of female nude (but it's still a female nude?? )... it's about painting.. about the flat surface....about....ugly woman? ( my bad, that's class-less...) Upon close examination of the painting, i realize that manet still tried very hard to blend the work.... unlike what the text book has been telling us about the rough treatment and ill concealed strokes... maybe he never meant for it to start the modernization of painting. Maybe he was just tired.
the second pic was taken when i balanced the 12-tons glass pyramid on my finger tip so it does come crashing down on the secret site of the holy grail ..
