Love in the air.....?

recently Jack and i are kinda stressed over the planning of our engagement and wedding. There are so many things to cover, and the worst part is that there are so many people to please. Don't get me wrong, fool~ i ain't saying that people don't matter~ the fact that i am turning grey so early is that i do care about what people want...esp. the wishes of our parents and families. then again, it's getting rather complicated with this 'cross-cultural" format that we cannot seem to settle on.....not to mention the date and the location~ it's a nightmare! This is supposed to be a dream come true~ and i really just want everyone to be happy...especially my lovely bride to be.

a good friend recently asked us whether we have prayed about this together...and put the planning in the hands of God. I guess that we have....but in some way we haven't. It's very easy to make excuses....but it's equally easy to realize how foolish those excuses are~ it all boil down to one single question: are we losing our faith?

Jack and i attended our new church for a first time in a long while... and again God works in a funny way that the sermon happend to be about 'sitting on the fence and fearing to commit.' It's rather annoying to admit but i must say i've climbed up that fence a while back and have been sitting there. For me it's never about the question of faith, but more the skeptism over religious activity. Obviously the skeptism is caused by many factors....but mostly, the fear that God may be pointing us down a direction that we are not willing to follow. It was much simpler then.... when life's choices were pure and easy (well, not necessary to the 19 yrs old kid at that time...but in retrospective....they were minor problems..) Now the choices get harder.... and temptations grow stronger.. So what does that make me?

Love is in the air. I think. I want more than anything to get married with my longtime sweet heart. Maybe none of others matter..... maybe the ceremony don't matter either... Maybe the two of us simply need to recommit ourself to each other..and know that we want to be together more than any of these obstacles that we may face...

Maybe it's time for a simple prayer.

Very well said. If it's the ultimate love, you can just go to the courthouse and get that wedding shit done.

i don't know what to say
but i agree with jackie, this one looks better than the one you put on last week

as for the wedding...well, it is just a 儀式...the more important thing is your life together for a long long time....don't beat yourself up over the ceremony problems...it is nothing but a big party...you can have your ideal one in Toronto( your own plans i meant)...as for the one in Taipei...just accept the fact that you are Taiwanese( that means just leave the wedding to your parents)..don't worry too much about this lah...

Welcome to my shoes! I just let my parents do everything. I felt like, I was there to "attend" the wedding. Don't worry too much as long as you guys are together, isn't it!
Wow~ finally, I can leave commets on your blog.

well, that's not my idea of a wedding mah. different ppl want different things. i do not want to just attend the wedding. i want to be involved in it. afterall, i am the one who's getting married, so i want in in every single details. from who is going to be at the wedding to what kind of food ppl are going to eat. that's just me. oh, and the flowers too.

and i think that you can have all that!!!! it's just that planning creates stresses...stresses cause tensions.... and you must remember to look at the big picture and knows that the most important thing about this wedding is the happiness of the couple and the family..... if something should occur outside of the original plan....it's okay!

that is if it is my plan.
