Michael Cranny, here i come! GTM!!!

what a relief.

After weeks of agony and frustration, i got my first job offer from York Region. It's an LTO (Long Term Occasional, meaning it's not a permanent but i will be taking over another teacher's classroom for a year while she's having a baby~) position with a grade 7 class in a terrific school. The Principal (Nimmo) and VP (Bread-ner) are both amazing guys who are fun to get along with but also very supportive!

as some of you might know..i've been looking for jobs but have very little luck. I was getting rather discouraged the other day, only to reflect on it later and realized that i've never had to experience the hardship of finding employment. I got my first job practically HANDED to me without much researching. In fact, it was offered to me without my inquiry about it. I then spent most of the time studying. Even my university work experience were pretty breezy..... ( i can't recall being rejected for any jobs except that gallery one....which lead to another better gallery job~) So i was quite a lucky bast**d for years~ WHAT was i discouraged about, eh?? Wuss!!

So i decided to leave it to God. I know that the lucky door #3 will open when i am ready. in the meantime, i rather enjoy the experience of staying up till 4 and applying jobs online.....or driving around town and visiting principals and handing our resumes... life experience, u know. it's not always fun to have things handed to you on the golden platter ( in my case, it's quite true....... no wonder i am so soft.)

so when the phone call came this afternoon, i was quite thrilled! at least i won't have to worry about having nothing to do in september~ contract position is good, but LTO is just fine~

final announcement. Mr. Huang is baaaaaaaaaaaack!!!! Please refrain from talking out of turns and chewing gums during class. Please and thank you.

Congrats! I guess Jackie will be your biggest boss for the rest of the life. Oh well, ignore Jackie when she is being demanding :)
Also, Chloe misses you; another boss who wants to see you.
I was putting vasaline on her and she said "Vasaline, Uncle Ming!"
Or, when she takes her vitamin she said "vitamin, Uncle Ming."

hahaha~ now what's the connection with Vasaline and Vitamin and uncle ming ? other than the fact that they rhyme?? =) (what a smart kid!! already writing poetry!)

i actually inquired about the process of getting my teaching certificate evaluated in Washington State~ i gotta send my certificate and transcript to a 3rd party education evaluator prior to applying for a WA State license...... once i complete the application (and write the exam) i will be able to obtain a certificate and apply for teaching job in WA~ =) not a lot of teaching position in Edmonds though~ =) hahah
