So this whole driveway biz is really getting on my nerve~ What happened to the good old days when a handshake is more solid than written contract? When a promise is meant to be kept? Why can't we trust anyone nowadays??
We hired this company based in York Region in April. All seems fine and dandy until they bailed out on us three times in a row, citing 'weather' and 'unforeseen' circumstances. Summer is just around the corner and Jack's parents will be here in 4 days... and the driveway? still crappy as usual. So they finally showed today, but the whole operation seems so fishy that i had to call in sick in order to stick around and make sure things get done... man....the nuisance that comes with home ownership, i guess~

Report card time is here, and i am ready for a break. three more weeks of school, and there's tons to be done. This year has gone by rather quickly, yet i am spent. Can't wait to get back to higher grades next year.

Future of this blog? well... not bright, i'd say. Tried to talk jack into letting me join her blog. Then again, i think that she might want a bit of self identity untouched by this 'for better, for worst' thing~ i guess that i am kool with that.

Me me me (I have to admit that is after somebody's self promotion at jack's blog).
We have hired our pavement guy too and he is supposed to come next Monday except it's weather permitting.
Did you pay any deposit? Our guy is with BBB (Best Business Bureau; he showed me his membership card) so i am hoping he is good.
Home improvement is stressful even when you get people who over deliver, you still have to wait around usually. As long as they do a decent job, I will let things go :)

yup...NYC heat wave .......record high for this time of the year, in fact. It's over now though after two days of thunder showers.. we do wear very little at home...hahah. now you got me thinking ..(have you guys seen the commercial with this fat dude wearing a T-shirt with bikini print on it? he's dancing while cookking on the BBQ~...yup, gross~)
all the money for this little work seems so not worth it....
