sorry my faithful fans~ (sure~) i've been quite occupied for the last little while that i've lost touch with this site~ my bad, my bad~
ya.. i know you love reading my blog more than listening to me talking...so this is for you..haha
rance...thanks man...for having my back with that logo thing... man, who would know that one day i would be asking you for computer help....damn~
so..time's been rough for the old man here.... exactly 2 and 1/2 weeks to go till the end of the tunnel, yet i can't see the light. One thing i found out about Teacher's college is that you have ENDLESS work....they ain't hard, just tedius at times~ (esp if you are in the primary division~ ) i spent a lot of the class hour drawing in my textbook..kinda like the old time back in elementary school..hahah... but by the time i get home, i am too damn tired to move.....just wanna eat something and crash... i gotta fix this..seeing that this is the career of my choice.and i still have dreams of doing arts on the side...so i gotta find some ways to motivate myself.... i really admire my buddy Tak (big shout to tak out west) who's been DOING IT since grad..... it's so difficult to have to drive and the courage to just dive into your work and hoping for the best..but he's done it..and he's living his life.... bravo! (time for me to kick myself in the behind as well..)
so got a show coming up in June....gotta do something to enhance my video installation ... any ideas?? i don't quite like the narrative for my 'portrait #1"....thinking that i might add caption but do the whole narrative in Taiwanese.... ... i am also hoping to finish my portraits....16 of them...and cover them with plexi glass and with text..
before that, i also committed myself to do 2 paintings for an auction... titled "Voice for Africa"... it's a YRDSB initiative to support the Stephan Lewis fundation in the fight against AIDS in Africa... i am thinking that it might be a dyptich with the same blue sky backdrop... one is an african boy turning away....scratching his head and wearing a red wrist band... the other is a relatively better dressed girl/boy (maybe european??) playing a paper plane?? or something... appreciate some input prior to production...
so here is something for laughs~ hahah

you want insightful comments?
you ain't gettin' any~
what is your reasoning behind the connection between the european girl and the little african boy?
you know how you can enhance your video installation?
Show a clip of yourself singing and dancing to that Little-Tiger-Team song. That'll be a show stopper! It'll literally stop the show!
hey, this painting actually looks like it's been folded here, better than the real painting itself. good picture taking skill.
ok..i am gonna respond to one of these comments and ignored the other three...
there is NO apparent connections to the proposed subject (namely the boy and the girl...) each simply represents a world he/she's from... two worlds that are not radically different (hence the same blue sky back drop...) yet fate would have their lives turn out to be so drastically unique: one has to go thru the AIDS and losing his/her loved ones; while the other happily enjoy what life brings, as all kids should do at this age...
Nice. It's a sad revealation but it's really true. Remember to take a photo of it and post it up.
It doesn't really need to be super completed when you take the photo, since your 'picture taking skill' is so good. It'll look nice anyway
was that an insult~?? =)
for the record the real painting is much nicer than the pix!
