well, not exactly. Today was the first day that i have the class to myself (the regular teacher took half of the day off~) and i must admit: It was a disaster!!! =) The kids were off the wall and i couldn't do a damn thing about it~ one of the reasons that i decided to turn down some supply gigs is that i can be in my classroom more often prior to the takeover in October..so i can establish some kind of presence with the kids. Well, i guess every new teacher must go thru some sort of the initiation and the kids did not let me get away with it~ hahha.. i kicked one kid out of the class and talked to him in the hall....i asked him that whether he knows why i kicked him out or not....he said that i kicked him out because he asked to go to the WC! =) what a JERK TEACHER!!! =D hahha...well, i told him that "no, i kicked you out because i had no idea how to deal with you! " hahahahah
anyway..... one of those days, i guess.

mmmm...are you sure it is wise to admit to your student that you don't know how to deal with him??
sigh~ Rookie...
rookie of the year though
yup.it's wise..cus he was speechless.. the thing with Teenagers is that you can't BS with them....they see right thru it..... kids appreciate a certain level of honesty. i didn't just say ' i can't deal with you'....i said a lot more than that...but i transfer the responsibility to him... i let him choose to stay in or stay out... now the ball is in his court...he wanna play tough; it's his choice, and his loss. it's up to me now to make the lesson interesting so that he wants to stay IN... if i can't do that..than i can't blame kids for wanting to fool around and do nothing.
