"Pick-me-up"

We can all use a little bit of 'pick-me-up' from time to time. Sometimes I go to the gym and shoot hoops. Other times i watch a movie and eat an insane amount of chips~ And there are those times when a hug or a 'hello' would simply do the trick. We all need it. We may think that we can tough it out all the time, but...

a little bit of humility goes a long way.

Today, i had a long meeting during lunch with one of my kids' father. The conversation was great, the content was alarming. The kid has a gentle spirit in him, but he's also often disconnected from the rest of us. The father was shocked to discovered all sorts of behavioural issues, yet he was powerless to stop them. We ended the talk basically demanding the father to "DO HIS JOB." But i couldn't help but wonder what an impossible position we have cornered him into.

He could probably use a bit of 'pick-me-up'.

So i decided to come home early and prepare a pick-me-up meal for a girl who's under tremendous amount of stress these days.

i hope it worked.
