An inconvenient lie.

don't over anaylize the title. It doesn't mean a thing. Yup, just a shameless martketing ploy to capture my readers' attention by capitalizing on the famed title of a bestseller.

then again, it ain't entirely meaningless.

Frist week of school quickly went by, and as usual, i've learned a few things:

1. HDI (Human Development Index)- pretty interesting stuff. This STAT has Canada sitting at #6 spot among the world's worthy members. 4/5 countries made to the top five are European. None of it from North America. Made you think, eh? I asked my 8th graders why didn't the US, with its might and money, make it to the top 5. One kid calmly raised her hand and said that "there are many super rich guys in US, but there are also those who live in extreme proverty." wow. My job here is done. Bravo.

2. Academic ain't as 'pure' as i originally thought it'd be. I figured that i ought to stay in the academics so i don't get eaten alive in the REAL world. Well, there's just as much politics in school. Unfortunately, i came to the sad realization that i must play along or not play at all. Education philosophy is good and all, yet we often forget that every single kid out there is unique. No cookie cutters, please. (My neighbour and my grade partner seem to agree.)

3. 80% of Canadians agree that Global Warming is indeed a 'serious' issue for all of us. However, less than 40% of us would like to do something about it. Among us, most are well-educated and wealthy. What does that say about human nature, eh?

4. I love baketball. Simply stated.

To Do list:

1. device a plan to sell my SUV for a small and fuel efficient vehicle. Gotta lead by example, right? (but my truck is so sweeet~)

2. Wedding planning~ Gotta start typing up a plan. Btw, Nervous Nellie is officially onboard. Thanks man~

3. Tax season!

4. I love basketball. Did i mention that already?

PEACE, friends.

Global warming is going to wipe out the human race. Egg and I are usually pretty conscious people; talking about global warming, buying hybrid cars and everything. But when it's time shopping for a car, we prioritized trunk size over fuel efficiency. Yup, we are doomed.

Oh, that and Toyota sucks.

lotus, you are funny~ =)

to all Yota-haters out there~ don't hate on us just because we are not beautiful~ DH man, you gotta get the prius! it's got AWESOME trunk size (for a hybrid*under the breathe*)!!!! I am getting a Prius myself. Gonna throw in both the Camie and my sweet beast. Sometimes you gotta do the right thing.

then again, the new TUNDRA is so sexy! =D (another 'car' with AWESOME 'trunk' size! maybe you should consider this one~ )
